Affiliations
PPA
Upon
taking notice of Al's involvement, service and success with the Professional
Photographers Associations of both Pennsylvania (PPA of PA) and The New
Jersey (PPANJ), the Professional Photographers of America (PPA), invited him
to serve on the Certification (Standards) Committee. He is the Certification
Liaison for New Jersey and served as proxy councilmen for PA. He has also
address the 1999, 2001 and 2002 national conventions of the PPA, on the
benefits of certification and taught many pre convention courses. His images
have been selected for the prestigious Loan Collection, and the Kodak Epcot
Center Exhibit. One of images was selected for the cover of The PPA 2002
Showcase book, which features selected blue ribbon (General Collection)
images from across the US. He earned the Master of Photography Degree in
2004, the Photographic Craftsmen Degree in 1998, and became a Certified
Professional Photographer in 1996.
PPANJ
Al's
spirit of giving back coupled with his commitment to the profession is also
reflected in his affiliation with the Professional Photographers of New
Jersey (PPANJ) were he serves on Council and various committees. He has
taught and lectured through out the state giving programs that have been
describe as informative, educational and entertaining. He is the
Certification Liaison to the Professional Photographers of America, and
current Statewide Education Chairmen. Al is an Associate Fellow of
Photography and past president of the South Region (2000-2001). His images
and folios have won many honors including, numerous, Best of Show, Court of
Honor, Kodak Gallery and Fuji Masterpiece Awards in their print
competitions, he is currently South Region Photographer of the Year (2003).
PPA of PA
Al's
commitment to excellence and client satisfaction is reflected in his
membership and involvement in the Professional Photographers of Pennsylvania
(PPA of PA) were he serves on the Board of Governors and many committees and
is the 2004 Talent Chairmen. He has taught and lectured through out the
state giving programs that have been describe as informative, educational
and entertaining. He holds both the Service, Print and the Certified
Professional Photographers Degrees. Al was awarded the Presidents Plaque ,
the States highest award for service to the PPA of PA, at the 2004 State
Convention. His images, folios and wedding albums have won many honors
including, Best Digital Image and Electronic Image Folio, along with
numerous Kodak Gallery, and Fuji Masterpiece Awards.
CPP
Founded
in 1880 the Professional Photographers of America is the largest and oldest
trade organization for professional image makers. The association
establishes standards for more than 14,000 individual members and 214
affiliated groups world wide. In addition to the Master of Photography, and
Photographic Craftsman Degree, Al DiCampli has also earned the coveted PPA
Certified designation. It is only given after meeting rigorous requirements
designed to measure a photographer's artistic ability, technical proficiency
and business competency. This certification of professional excellence is
held by fewer than 3% of all professional photographers. Al has embarked on
a mission to raise the level of competency in the industry. He currently
teaches a certification training program that has received national acclaim
and lead to a dramatic increase in the number of Professional photographers
who are now Certified.
